How long does implementation take?
It depends on your programs and data, but rollouts are structured in four phases (discovery, configuration and migration, go-live, and ongoing support), and your current system keeps running until cutover. We'll give you a dated plan during scoping.
Can you migrate our existing records?
Yes. During implementation we bring your residents, staff, and open balances across from spreadsheets or exports of your current system, then verify the data against your records before cutover; nothing goes live until it matches.
How does Dacnus handle HIPAA?
The platform is designed to support HIPAA obligations: role-based access, complete audit trails, field-level encryption of PHI at rest, multi-factor authentication, and a BAA process. It also ships with a library of written HIPAA policies (access control, breach notification, incident response, contingency planning, and more) and a documented risk analysis, so the administrative side of compliance is supported alongside the technical one. We walk through our security posture in detail during evaluation.
Can families and guardians be involved?
Yes, through a guardian portal you control item by item: activities, behavior, therapy, medications, each permissioned per guardian, protected by mandatory MFA, with access that expires and is re-authorized by your staff. What families see is carefully filtered: medication names without dosages, therapy session dates and homework without clinical note content, and positive behavior highlighted. They see what they need, and nothing they shouldn't. Families can also send feedback through secure links without creating accounts.
Which settings does Dacnus support?
Residential behavioral care: licensed behavioral health residential facilities (BHRFs), therapeutic group homes, behavioral education programs, and residential treatment. Organizations running several programs or facilities keep everything under one roof: one record per resident, one reporting view for leadership.
We're not in Arizona. Will Dacnus fit our state's requirements?
Yes, that's part of implementation. Dacnus was first built and proven inside a licensed Arizona residential program. The state-specific pieces, like personnel file formats, treatment plan structures, and required documentation, are adapted to your state's requirements during onboarding, and you verify the configuration against your licensing rules before go-live.
